The Ukrainian army continues its successful operation on the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, strengthening its positions and gradually advancing deep into the region. As of today, 74 settlements are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the past day, Ukrainian troops advanced in different directions from 1 to 3 kilometers.
These results were announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, in his report to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. According to him, stabilization measures are currently being carried out in the occupied territories, including checks and ensuring the safety of the local population.
"Despite difficult and intense battles, the advance of our forces in Kurshchyna continues. The exchange fund for our state is replenished. 74 settlements are already under the control of Ukraine. Inspections and stabilization measures are carried out there. The development of humanitarian solutions for these territories is also ongoing," President Zelenskyi said after receiving the report.
The leadership of Ukraine emphasizes the importance of stabilization measures in the newly liberated areas, as well as the need to provide humanitarian aid to local residents. Preparations are underway for possible negotiations with the Russian side, taking into account the current situation and the military successes of the Armed Forces.
The continuation of the offensive and the expansion of Ukraine's control over the territory of the Kursk region testifies to the high combat capability of the Ukrainian army and its ability to achieve its goals, despite difficult conditions and enemy resistance.
