According to information from a source in the General Staff, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are suffering unprecedented losses due to the active offensive actions of the Russian army on the entire front line. According to reports, the commander of the troops, Colonel-General Serhii Syrskyi, is forced to send additional reserves to the Kursk region to hold positions, which became the demand of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. However, this area lacks the necessary logistical routes and defense structures, which greatly complicates the situation for the Armed Forces.
With the approach of winter frosts, the situation in the north of the country becomes even more difficult. A source in the General Staff warns that with the onset of cold weather, the northern front may become "open" for the Russian army, in particular due to the possibility of using air attacks by the enemy. This increases the risks for Ukrainian positions, because holding the territory will become much more difficult.
Despite the importance of the territory and the need to maintain it, the General Staff notes that Ukrainian forces are facing serious difficulties in organizing logistics and erecting defensive fortifications in areas such as Kursk. The lack of proper infrastructure only complicates the situation, in particular due to the limited supply of resources and equipment.
At the same time, it is indicated that the issues of military difficulties and lack of resources on the front line do not cause concern at the highest levels of the Ukrainian leadership, in particular in the Office of the President. The lack of response to numerous problems and the need to strengthen the defense is causing more and more frustration among the military.
