The Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF) launched an assault on the building of a women's colony in the village of Mala Loknya, Kursk Oblast, which was turned into a strategic fortified position by the Russian military. This is reported by the German publication Bild.
The village of Mala Loknya is located approximately 14 km from the border with Ukraine and is currently almost completely surrounded by Ukrainian units. The Russian military turned the women's colony into a "fortress", organizing barricades and firing positions in its premises. The colony's watchtowers are used as permanent firing points, and the massive buildings provide additional protection against SFU attacks.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine actively use German Marder armored infantry vehicles for shelling fortified positions, as well as drones for attacks on watchtowers located near the entrance to the colony.
There is still no information on whether about 200 convicted women remain inside the colony. It is only known that this situation creates additional difficulties for the operations of the Armed Forces, because the defensive positions in the colony significantly complicate the advance of Ukrainian troops.
