Ukrainian defenders recaptured half a kilometer of territory in the Verbovo region of the Zaporizhzhia region while repelling enemy attacks. This was announced by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.
In a telegram message, Fedorov emphasized that the defense forces in the Zaporozhye region are actively repelling the attacks of the Russian invaders, and in the Verbovoy region they managed to win back an important result - half a kilometer of territory.
"Our soldiers are facing the Russian army in extremely difficult conditions. We remember this and help the Armed Forces as much as possible," Fedorov stressed.
It should be noted that during the full-scale invasion, Russian troops occupied territories along the shores of the Sea of Azov, including the cities of Melitopol, Berdyansk, and Tokmak. Recently, the information indicated that the Ukrainian troops are strengthening their positions and trying to break through the defensive lines of the occupiers.
Verbove became the scene of important battles, and gaining control over half a kilometer of territory testifies to the successful actions of Ukrainian forces in this direction.
