Our source in the President's office reports that Kit Kelloggi has passed the head of OP Andriy Yermak with a clear demand: to hold a third meeting in Istanbul no later than the end of July. This should be the next step in the format of informal negotiations on the exchange of prisoners and termination of hostilities.
Already today, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy actually confirmed the appropriate readiness on the Ukrainian side. According to him, the implementation of the arrangements reached during the previous Istanbul meeting continues. He reported that the team is currently working on another exchange.
“ We continue to execute the agreements reached. Now the team is working on a new exchange , ”the head of state said.
Zelensky also stressed the need to increase the negotiation dynamics and emphasized that Russia should stop hiding from decisions.
It should be reminded that a meeting in Istanbul took place behind the closed doors and without official confirmation by the Russian Federation. The participants discussed the exchange of prisoners of war, the return of deported children and the ceasefire formula.
