What dishes to prepare for the Year of the Snake

New Year 2025 in Ukraine and other Eastern countries will be celebrated under the sign of the Green Wooden Snake, which will come into its own on January 29, 2025. This year promises to be special, because the Snake symbolizes wisdom, intuition, calmness and the ability to adapt to any conditions. How to meet this year and what to pay attention to when choosing dishes for the New Year's table? Astrologer Tatyana Mykhailenko gives some tips on how to make a festive dinner not only delicious, but also favorable for good luck and well-being.

What you can't cook for New Year 2025:

  1. Meat dishes
The Snake does not like heavy food, so it is better to exclude red meat dishes from the holiday menu. Meat is a too rich product that can disrupt the subtle energy of the year. Choose lighter dishes made from poultry or vegetables.
  2. Fish
While fish is a popular dish on its own for the New Year, it is a poor choice for celebrating 2025. The snake, as a water creature, has energies that are incompatible with fish. Its presence on the table can symbolize the escape of finances and luck. Instead of fish, you can prepare seafood dishes such as shrimp, squid or mussels.
  3. Fatty and spicy dishes
You should also not add too fatty or spicy dishes to the table, especially with chili or garlic. The Snake loves softness and sophistication, so it is better to choose light spices, such as basil or dill, which will not disrupt the energy harmony.
  4. Canned foods
Canned foods symbolize stagnation and lack of change, which goes against the energy of the Snake, which adores movement and development. In 2025, it is better to avoid canned foods and focus on fresh ingredients.

What to prepare:

  1. Green dishes
The festive table should feature green dishes made from fresh vegetables and fruits, which symbolize harmony, purity and health. Green salads, broccoli, avocados, green fruits such as kiwi and apples will be a great choice for the festive menu.
  2. Light meals
Instead of heavy meat or fatty dishes, choose light options that help maintain energy balance and don't overload the body. For example, baked vegetables, light salads, or dishes with poultry and seafood.

In order to celebrate the year of the Green Wood Snake, it is worth paying attention not only to traditions, but also to the energy component of the holiday. When choosing dishes for the New Year's table, remember the importance of harmony, lightness and natural ingredients. Thus, you will not only provide a holiday for your loved ones, but also tune your energy to success and luck in the coming year.
