The Ministry of Defense announced the launch of a new digital military personnel accounting system called "Impulse".
According to Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, the system will allow for real-time receipt of up-to-date data about each serviceman, his history of assignments, as well as generation of reports and draft orders.
"Impulse" was developed as a tactical-level information and communication system that should work in every military unit. This will allow units to generate documents faster, and management to make decisions based on accurate and transparent data.
The Airborne Assault Forces have already been the first to use the new system. It will soon be operational in the Ground Forces and in newly created corps.
The Ministry of Defense also plans to integrate Impulse with other digital solutions: the Army+ military application, the Medical Information System, and other tools. This should create a single electronic personnel management space.
Previously, a new mark appeared in the "Reserve+" application: "BOS-999. Requires basic military training." The department explained that it means that some users need to complete a basic training course before further assignments.
