Electric cars from China become sales leaders in the Ukrainian market

The popularity of cars from China in Ukraine is growing rapidly. In August 2025, Ukrainians purchased 2,424 cars imported from China, which is 42% more than in August last year.

The total number of new cars was 2,026 units (+52%), used cars – 398 units (+7%). At the same time, the majority of cars – 88% – are electric cars.

Among new cars, the most popular models were BYD Song Plus (361 cars), VOLKSWAGEN ID.UNYX (206), HONDA eNS1 (202), BYD Sea Lion 07 (155) and AUDI Q4 (109). Among used cars, the leaders are ZEEKR 001 (33 cars), BYD Sea Lion 07 (28), BYD Song Plus (26), POLESTAR 2 (19) and ZEEKR 7X (18).

The growing interest in Chinese electric vehicles is explained by a combination of affordability, modern technologies, and the growing demand for environmentally friendly transport among Ukrainians.
