Physical persons will be restricted through Novapay from June 1

The Novapay service, which serves the payment system of Nova Poshta, introduces new rules for online payments and money transfers from June 1, 2025. According to 7miner, all users will set individual limits that can be viewed in the mobile application.

According to open sources and social networks, some of the users have already received appropriate messages and calls. According to the new terms, individuals will be able to carry out no more than 5 post -payment departures per month with a total amount of up to 30 thousand hryvnias.

Novapay explains such changes in the strengthening of control by state bodies, in particular the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Service. The company emphasizes that quarterly limits are canceled, but new approaches to identifying business activity among ordinary users are being introduced.

If the system fixes regular or suspicious translations similar to business activities, Novapay reserves the right to ask an explanation or documents confirming the origin of the funds. If the user does not answer or the company suspects hidden business activities, access to the account may be temporarily restricted.

In order to avoid restrictions, Novapay advises to formally register as a FOP and connect the control system (CO), which allows you to work within the tax field, to accept payments without the risk of blocking and to fulfill tax liabilities.

At the same time, the company emphasized that new rules are not a way of restriction, but rather an attempt to adapt to state regulation of financial flows and prevent abuse of money transfers.
