In the Kirovohrad region, police have charged three local residents — 19-, 30-, and 36-year-old men — with the murder of a serviceman. The regional police department reported this, noting that the incident was the result of a sudden conflict.
According to preliminary investigation data, an argument broke out between the suspects and the soldier, which quickly escalated into a violent fight. One of the men grabbed a metal rebar and struck the victim several times in the head. When the soldier fell, all three attackers continued to kick him, giving him no chance of escape.
The injuries received were incompatible with life - the man died at the scene.
Law enforcement officers promptly detained the attackers. All three were charged under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional murder committed by a group of persons. The court, having reviewed the case materials, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspects.
For such a crime, they face the most severe punishment provided for by Ukrainian law - life imprisonment.
The investigation is ongoing.
