A private entrepreneur was ordered to pay a fine of over 400,000 hryvnias for failure to fulfill the terms of the contract for the supply of quadcopters for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. The Commercial Court of Khmelnytskyi Oblast made the decision at the request of the District Prosecutor's Office of Khmelnytskyi.
As prosecutors found out, in March 2025, the executive committee of the Khmelnytskyi City Council concluded a contract with an entrepreneur for the supply of aircraft as part of the program to support the security and defense forces. The total cost of the purchase was 3.7 million hryvnias.
Despite its commitments, the supplier did not deliver the quadcopters within the contractually agreed timeframe. In addition, it only notified the customer of its inability to deliver after a significant delay.
The prosecutor's office, acting in the interests of the state, appealed to the court with a demand to collect a fine and penalty for the disruption of the supply of equipment to the Ukrainian army. The court fully supported its position.
As a result, the budget of the Khmelnytskyi city community will receive more than 400 thousand hryvnias.
