Andrii Naumov, the former head of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the Security Service of Ukraine, who left Ukraine a few hours before the start of a full-scale invasion of Russia on February 24, 2022, became the owner of luxury real estate in Turkey.
This is stated in the "Scheme" investigation.
According to information from the Turkish real estate registry, the total value of the real estate purchased by Naumov was 8.5 million Turkish lira (approximately 17.5 million hryvnias at the time).
The largest apartment with an area of 185 square meters. m cost about 7 million hryvnias. Second apartment, 115 square meters. m, cost 6.5 million hryvnias. The smallest accommodation, with an area of 70 square meters. m, was purchased for 3.7 million hryvnias.
According to journalists, Naumov's family is using real estate in Turkey, while he himself is in Serbia, where he is awaiting a court decision in the case of money laundering. If deported from Serbia, Naumov can be reunited with his family in Turkey.
Naumov, who was stripped of the rank of brigadier general by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in 2022 and called a traitor, is involved in criminal cases of treason, fraud, misappropriation of property and abuse of power.
In June 2022, he was detained in Serbia on suspicion of money laundering. Ukraine requested his extradition, but the Serbian court refused this request. Naumov was released from custody in December 2023 and remains in Serbia awaiting a final decision.
Naumov himself denies the accusations and calls the cases against him politically motivated. According to him, the campaign to discredit him was organized by former officials of Ukraine.
