On the border with Moldova, a driver who tried to illegally take away a large amount of money was detained

At the checkpoint "Bronnytsia - Ungur" on the border with Moldova, the Vinnytsia customs office recorded an attempt to illegally export cash. A 61-year-old citizen of Ukraine, who was crossing the border in a Toyota Camry, chose the "green corridor" lane to pass customs control.

During the inspection, it was found that the driver tried to take 20,000 US dollars out of Ukraine without the necessary documents for an amount exceeding the equivalent of 10,000 euros. Customs officers emphasized that individuals can export funds only within this limit without written declaration.

According to Ukrainian legislation, sums over 10,000 euros are subject to mandatory declaration. The customs office noted that violation of this rule may lead to confiscation of funds.
