Bihus.info journalists exposed Yuriy Kamelchuk, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People faction, in another lie about his trip to Europe. Kamelchuk claimed that he had visited the Strasbourg forum in November as part of a business trip, but the journalists found out that he was in the Verkhovna Rada on November 5-7 and participated in the vote. After that, the MP went on vacation to Portugal and other European cities with his beloved Daria Sayed.
Yuriy Kamelchuk was unable to clearly explain to journalists the purpose of the trip: at first he claimed that it was parliamentary work, then - vacation, and also - issues related to his wife's health. After the publication of the material, the MP stated on social networks that the trip was official and related to diplomatic work, and accused the journalists of political order.
An analysis of the photos and other materials he published showed that Kamelchuk did not participate in the forum on November 5-7. In particular, he is not on the lists of speakers and participants of the event, and he used old photos - taken during the PACE meetings in Strasbourg in October and April 2025.
In addition, the MP was spotted with a new Porsche Cayenne S crossover, which was not listed in the declaration. The car is registered to a Kyiv leasing company associated with Yanukovych-era politician Serhiy Tigipko. Kamelchuk and Daria Sayed traveled around Europe in this car, as confirmed by photos on social networks.
Journalists appealed to the Verkhovna Rada, the leadership of the Servant of the People faction, and the State Bureau of Investigation to provide a legal assessment of the deputy's actions.
Kamelchuk previously announced his withdrawal from the Servant of the People party, but in fact continues to be in the VRU faction. He also heads the Ukrainian Nation political party and the Buzhany-Premier media company.
