People's deputy from the "Voice" party Yaroslav Zheleznyak settled in an elite apartment worth 12 million hryvnias, which, according to the official declaration, was registered to the deputy's father-in-law from his second marriage. Information about Zheleznyak's new home was published on the website of the National Agency for the Prevention and Combating of Corruption.
According to the declaration, the apartment has an area of 134 square meters. According to the military and journalist Serhiy Ronin, the apartment is located in an elite building on Pechersk at the address Yevhena Konovaltsia Street, 36-B.
The official salary of Yaroslav Zheleznyak as a people's deputy for a year is about 660 thousand hryvnias. Thus, the cost of an apartment is approximately equal to 17 annual salaries of a deputy.
The news about the deputy's luxury real estate caused outrage in society. Commenting on the situation, military officer Kyrylo Danylchenko expressed his displeasure on social networks: "While some are losing their health, years of service, their only lives, others in Pokrovsk are unscrewing boilers and loading furniture into cars, while others are launching successful family 'businesses'.
