Ukraine's plans for a counteroffensive in 2025 depend on one condition

Ukraine is considering launching a counteroffensive against Russian forces in 2025, but only under certain conditions. According to information from the French newspaper Le Figaro, the Ukrainian authorities have shown interest in obtaining SAMPT anti-aircraft missile systems, which are modern analogues of the Patriot, but are marked by an insufficient number of Aster 30 missiles. French military experts emphasize that the party that can first mobilize significant strength However, both sides of the conflict refrain from decisive actions.

According to journalists, signs of war fatigue are being observed in Ukraine. At the same time, the Kremlin regime is careful to avoid unpopular decisions that could cause internal opposition.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that the Ukrainian military plans to go on the offensive when the Russian military campaign loses its effectiveness. However, the main goal remains the deterrence of the Russian offensive, preventing the loss of territory and inflicting significant losses on the enemy. According to The Sunday Times, Great Britain recommends that Ukraine go on the defensive in 2024, stopping at some problematic positions in the east.

It is noted that such advice was expressed by the Minister of Defense of Great Britain, Grant Shapps, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Anthony Radakin, in a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. It is not yet clear whether Zelensky will accept this offer.
