In Ivano-Frankivsk region, the head and two officers of the Horodenkiv police department have been dismissed after an internal investigation. The law enforcement officers are suspected of extorting a bribe from an OnlyFans model, and their case will be handled by the State Bureau of Investigation.
The investigation began after the release of recordings of police conversations with a woman, in which they demanded $1,000 for not opening a criminal case. According to media reports, police officers Myroslav Rozhko and Mykola Stoyko may be under suspicion.
The Ivano-Frankivsk regional police reported that criminal proceedings under Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine were not initiated or investigated by the Horodenkiv department. Also, materials were not sent to the investigative units of the cyber police.
In addition to the two suspected officers, the head of the police department has also been dismissed. All case materials will be transferred to the State Bureau of Investigation for further investigation.
