In Poltava a scandal broke over a teacher of a private higher education institution, who organized a scheme for the evasion of conscripts from mobilization. The professor provided his clients with counterfeit training information and fake medical documents.
As stated in the decision of the Poltava District Court of January 21, 2025, the man used two main methods of assistance in evasion.
The first was the fictitious enrollment of the military -duty to a full -time formal form in the bachelor's degree, magistracy or postgraduate studies of the local university. Thanks to his connection, the professor offered clients to enter without exams or provided counterfeit certificates of enrollment in the educational institution.
The second method involved the forgery of medical documents. The teacher helped the conscript to obtain fake diagnoses about the service, including mental illness, which was excluded from military accounting.
During the suspect searches, law enforcement officers seized considerable amounts of money - more than $ 118,000 and almost 170 thousand hryvnias, seals of various institutions, counterfeit documents and mobile phones used in the scheme.
According to police of the Poltava region, the teacher acted more than one: the criminal group included other persons who assisted with the implementation of the scheme.
Currently, the professor has been charged under Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a sentence of up to 5 years.
