In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained the deputy chief doctor of the Central Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEK) while accepting a bribe. As reported in the Office of the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, the official demanded 2,000 US dollars for providing assistance in registering disabled persons of the II group of conscripts.
"The deputy chief physician of the "CMSEC of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" was exposed for receiving illegal benefits. She was informed of the suspicion of abuse of influence (part 3, p. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
According to the investigation, "the deputy chief doctor promised to help a conscripted citizen receive II disability group for 2,000 US dollars." This would provide grounds for removing him from the military register. "She convinced her husband that this was not the first time she had solved such "issues" and she knew how to do it," the message reads.
As noted, the law enforcement officers detained the official in accordance with Art. 208 of the CCP when receiving money.
"During the searches, almost 20,000 US dollars, disability registration documents, medical documentation, personal files and other evidence of criminal activity were seized from her. At the moment, the suspect has been remanded in custody," the prosecutor's office said.
