Vadim Gutzait as a world -renowned fencer and Olympic champion in the behind -the -scenes negotiations with the International Fencing Federation (Fie) assured the FIE leadership that Ukraine would not take a rigid position.
Accordingly, the International Fencing Federation has allowed all athletes from Russia in team competitions under the neutral flag (AIN).
At the same time, the Ukrainian Federation expressed its indignation by the FIE decision to allow Russians and Belarus to participate in team competitions.
