Rare professions relevant for the modern Ukrainian economy

There are over 9,000 professions in Ukraine, and among them you can find real "highlights" that only specialists know about. The State Employment Service continues to introduce Ukrainians to unusual and less common specialties that perform an important function for the economy and society.

A burn specialist is a doctor who specializes in the treatment of severe burns and their consequences, including scars. In Ukraine, this specialty received official status in 1995, and higher medical education is required for work.

A surveyor is an independent expert who inspects and evaluates vehicle loads, especially in international trade. A technical or engineering degree is usually required.

A guilloche maker in the printing industry is a specialist who applies complex ornaments of wavy figured lines (guilloché) to documents and money. The job requires an education in publishing and printing.

An emsher operator controls the process of sludge fermentation and water purification in the settling tanks of enterprises. A basic secondary education is enough, but the specialist plays a key role in water purification processes.

Mud pump operator — maintains mud pools, reservoirs containing rock particles formed during drilling. Most often requires vocational training.

The Employment Service emphasizes that even the rarest professions are of great importance for the country's economy, as they ensure the stable functioning of industry, medicine, and other sectors.
