Roman Mud, the former head of the operational department of the Bureau of Economic Security in Lviv region, has filed a lawsuit with the court demanding payment of UAH 1.3 million in compensation after his voluntary dismissal. He claims that he was incorrectly paid wages for the period of work from November 2022 to September 2025.
According to Mudya, during his service at BEB, an incomplete subsistence minimum was applied to able-bodied persons, which led to underpayment. The legal proceedings in the Lviv District Administrative Court were opened on October 9.
Earlier, journalists established that Roman Mud fictitiously divorced his wife Natalia Mud and deprived her of parental rights to their youngest daughter, although the family continues to live together. Natalia Mud owns the elite restaurant Kilinski in Stryisky Park, which brings millions in income to the family. According to Natalia herself, the restaurant was opened with the support of her husband.
Mudya's lawsuit comes amid preparations for a journalistic investigation into his wealth and methods of avoiding mobilization. The former head of BEB has said he no longer plans to work in the civil service.
The trial could set a precedent for calculating compensation for civil servants and raises additional questions about the financial transparency of former civil servants.
