The SBU detained an enemy informer who was monitoring the units of the Marines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Mykolaiv Oblast

The counter-intelligence of the Security Service detained another informant of the special services of the Russian Federation, who was spying on the bases of the Defense Forces in the Mykolaiv region.

Among the main tasks of the figure was the identification and transfer of possible geolocations of the command and combat units of the marine infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In order to collect intelligence, the attacker went around the area and secretly fixed the objects of the Ukrainian troops.

She also "obscurely" used acquaintances from whom she asked for "necessary" information under the guise of confidential conversations.

The Russian informant sent the obtained information to the occupiers through an anonymous chat in a popular messenger.

In the intelligence reports, she transmitted electronic maps with markings of objects and data on the estimated number of personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian defenders.

SBU employees exposed the perpetrator at the initial stage of her subversive activities. After that, the Ukrainian special service documented step by step all the criminal actions of the suspect and detained her while trying to carry out a new intelligence mission.

This made it possible to inform the command of the Armed Forces in a timely manner and thereby change the places of temporary deployment and movement of Ukrainian troops.

According to the investigation, the detainee is a local resident, an ideological supporter of racism. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, she made posts on social networks in support of the invaders and the capture of part of the territory of Ukraine .

In this way, the woman came into the field of view of the Russian special service, which remotely involved her in cooperation.

During the search, a mobile phone was seized from the detainee, which she used in intelligence and subversive activities for the benefit of the Russian Federation.

Currently, the investigators of the Security Service informed her about the suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement, movement or location of the Armed Forces).

The perpetrator is in custody. She faces up to 8 years in prison.
