The USA is preparing for important decisions regarding the war in Ukraine - Tusk

The Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, made a resounding statement regarding the expected initiatives from the US regarding the end of the war in Ukraine. According to Tusk, Washington may soon present declarations regarding the date of the ceasefire, the demarcation line between Ukraine and Russia, as well as security guarantees for Ukraine. Tusk also emphasized that such decisions should not be made without taking into account the interests of both Ukraine and its allies, including Poland.

The Polish Prime Minister also commented on the potential peace plan of Donald Trump, the US presidential candidate. According to Tusk, this plan may still be at the stage of preparation, and it is expected that the US will seek less interference in the affairs of Ukraine. According to him, such a policy can significantly change the international approach to war.

Former US President Donald Trump claimed during the election campaign that he was able to end the war in Ukraine in the shortest possible time, alluding to his personal connections with President Zelensky and Putin. However, Trump did not provide specifics about his plans, leaving room for multiple interpretations.

The media has mentioned various approaches that Trump and his advisers are likely considering. One of them is the limitation of military aid to Ukraine if Kyiv does not agree to negotiations with Moscow. The possibility of freezing hostilities on the front line and Ukraine's refusal to join NATO for 20 years are also discussed. Another proposal includes the creation of a demilitarized zone more than 1,200 km long between Ukraine and Russia.

Trump's proposals are causing concern among Ukrainian and international allies. Many believe that such decisions should be made with the participation of the direct participants in the conflict and Ukraine's partners. Donald Tusk, in particular, emphasizes that it is important to prevent scenarios where the fate of Ukraine will be decided without its participation.

Despite Trump's advocacy of a "peace plan," there is considerable skepticism about his ability to bring about a just end to the war. Many politicians and experts believe that such an approach can limit Ukraine's sovereignty and create a dangerous precedent in international politics.
