Syrsky will keep Avdiivka at any cost

Our source in the OP said that Syrskyi made a commitment to Zelenskyi before being appointed to the position of head of the committee, effectively giving all the authority to the party for all decisions. For the Office of the President, it is now fundamentally important to keep Avdiyivka by all means, so as not to lose the support of the United States. In February, the new Glavkom should present the plan for the summer counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the strategy of the Ukrainian army for entering the borders in 1991.

Meanwhile, the situation in Avdiivka on February 8 continues to deteriorate for the Armed Forces of Ukraine - Russian troops have again advanced in the northern part of the city. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are focusing on entrenchment in the old Avdiivka and the country village near the coking plant. In addition, they are trying to occupy the bridge over the railway. It is also reported from the spot that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are attacking the coordination point of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces in the 14-story "Chemist" building, striking the front edge and adjusting the artillery fire.

At the same time, according to Bild military columnist Julian Röpke, the situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka is beginning to resemble Bakhmut.

As you can see, Avdiivka is "broken". And the state of affairs in the ZSU is even worse than in Bakhmut, since Avdiivka is practically surrounded. That is, the authorities will have to either leave the city or put all their forces there, probably with a large number of those who surrendered, which will hit Zelensky's rating once again. In fact, the current situation is a "political cauldron" for the President's Office, where they "slept" the time when it was possible to prevent the Russian army from tightening the "shutdown" on the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdiivka. But the authorities followed exactly Bakhmut's scenario, due to which experienced servicemen died again in the battles, who will never be replaced by newly mobilized civilians.

Syrsky promised Zelensky to keep Bakhmut, but he fell because of Wagner, now the new Holovkom promises to keep Avdiivka despite the critical situation.

Our source in the General Staff said that Syrsky began to transfer reserves to Avdiivka in order to break through the encirclement of the city and fulfill his promise to Zelensky. The new Holovkom, unlike Zaluzhnyi, does not oppose the president's decisions and will keep Avdiyivka as a new symbol of resistance.
