Famous TV presenter Lydia Taran, who, together with her daughter, Vasilyna moved to France after the start of a full -scale war, first told in detail about her life abroad.
In a comment for OBOZ.ua, a 47-year-old star of Ukrainian television stressed that she did not consider herself an immigrant. It officially works as a own correspondent of the State Agency "Ukrinform" in France, and staying there is part of its professional activity.
“I'm not in emigration. I work in France as my own correspondent of the State Agency "Ukrinform". In fact, I am on a long business trip - so stated in my contract, ”Taran explained.
In addition, the presenter maintains the link with the TV channel " 1+1" and occasionally appears in live broadcasts, in particular in the program "Breakfast with 1+1" and a TV.
Despite his work in France, Lydia regularly returns to Ukraine where her family remained. According to the TV presenter, she plans to come to Kiev in the near future - interviews and personal meetings are already planned in her schedule.
“I often come to Ukraine when I can. Here is my family, my house. I did not break the connection with my homeland and never went to do so, ”she added.
Lydia Taran remains a symbol of Ukrainian television even abroad - and continues its information mission where it is now needed.
