Kyiv prosecutor's office suspects officials and deputies of corruption and document falsification

In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers reported a series of criminal proceedings related to embezzlement of budget funds, illegal alienation of property, fictitious compensations, and corruption schemes in the areas of education, self-government, and environmental protection. The total amount of damage caused to the state and communities exceeds 49 million hryvnias.

Among the high-profile cases is the calculation of compensation for a house that was dismantled before the war began. A deputy and three officials of the village military administration received a payment for "destroyed" housing in the amount of over 2.9 million hryvnias.

The former deputy mayor of Irpin is accused of a scheme to resell municipal property - a land plot and a boiler house building, which was converted into an office and sold. The community's losses amounted to over 300 thousand hryvnias.

In another case, the former head of the village council is accused of forging decisions to transfer 18 plots of land with a total area of over 32 hectares to private ownership. The losses to the community are estimated at over 1.9 million hryvnias.

In the education sector, an official received over 70,000 hryvnias for “assistance” in the issuance of tractor driver licenses outside the procedure, and a contractor embezzled over 20.5 million hryvnias for installing modular shelters in schools. In Vyshgorod, the city mayor and the head of a contracting organization are accused of overstating prices for equipment and signing certificates of work that were not performed, amounting to over 6.6 million hryvnias.

Also documented were falsifications during repairs in the Boryspil, Buchanan, and Brovar districts, the supply of substandard military footwear, illegal fishing in the exclusion zone, and unauthorized occupation of land plots. A scheme to organize the departure of conscripts abroad for monetary compensation was also revealed.

The total amount of damages for all recorded violations exceeds 49 million hryvnias. Law enforcement officers are preparing a motion to impose preventive measures and remove officials from their positions.
