Transport, construction and industry contribute to the growth of Ukraine's GDP

According to the results of January-October 2024, the GDP of Ukraine grew by 4.2%, with the main drivers of growth in the fields of transport, construction and industry. As reported by the Ministry of Economy, the growth of the economy is supported by the implementation of recovery programs and the growing demand for construction works. The importance of the stable operation of the grain corridor for transport and the growth of demand for the products of the processing industry, in particular in the sector of the defense-industrial complex (OPK), was separately noted.

In October 2024, compared to October 2023, GDP increased by 1.3%. Growth was supported by key sectors such as transport, manufacturing and construction. However, a decline was recorded in the agricultural sector due to early harvesting, as farmers completed harvesting of some crops by October.

Data from the Ministry of Economy show that in September 2024, GDP growth was 3.8%, and based on the results of nine months, the economy grew by 4.5%. In general, the positive dynamics of the economy of Ukraine is observed thanks to effective recovery programs and active work in key sectors of the economy.
