In Boryspil, the court found the former serviceman of the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade in abuse of influence. The man promised for $ 10,000 to "help" with his dismissal from service through the Military Medical Commission. About it reports "Judicial Reporter" with reference to the sentence of the Boryspil city district court of March 31.
According to the case, in 2023, after returning from the front, the accused passed the VLK and was officially written off from military accounting. Through his father, he met a woman who was looking for an opportunity to release his acquaintance from military service for reasons for health. It was she who appealed to law enforcement officers with a statement of extortion.
According to the applicant, during the meeting he showed a notepad with "grateful" records from other military and suggested "resolve the issue" for $ 10,000. He did not name a specific scheme or contact. As part of the operational development, law enforcement officers produced imitation funds that the woman transferred the person involved in the premises of the Boryspil City Council.
After the transfer of the case, the accusation was somewhat mitigated - the signs of the extortion were excluded. The accused himself pleaded guilty, sincerely repented, and explained that he considered it possible to influence the process, because he recently passed through the procedure of writing off. In the past, he served in the SBU, later worked in the private sector, and since 2022 - mobilized to the Armed Forces.
Despite the admission of guilt, the court concluded that a soft punishment would not be effective. The accused was sentenced to two years in prison.
