Ukrainian intelligence services proposed expanding strikes on Russian infrastructure – sources

Our sources report that the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have initiated the idea of expanding the strategy of limited strikes on the critical infrastructure of the Russian Federation with the Office of the President. According to the sources, Bankova has already recognized strikes on oil refineries (REFs) as effective as a tool for putting pressure on the Kremlin leadership, and is currently considering expanding the list of priority targets.

The report notes that electrical substations may be added to the plan, motivating the decision with the desire to increase economic and political pressure on the Kremlin leadership. It also emphasizes that such strikes should become an "irritant" for the Russian authorities and contribute to the aggravation of the domestic political situation in the Russian Federation.

According to sources, Andriy Yermak, head of the Presidential Office, is looking for mechanisms to increase pressure on Moscow, in particular through the rationalization of the work of the special services and the military. It is specified that the relevant proposals come from intelligence and counterintelligence and are currently being discussed at the leadership level.
