According to information received from our sources at the General Staff, General Syrsky decided to prepare Selidove for a possible defense and the creation of a fortified area, while focusing on making Pokrovsk the center of resistance, to which equipment and ammunition are already being transported.
The command has already moved more than ten thousand soldiers to this area, who are occupying empty houses and apartments for the construction of defense structures. Russian troops are using advanced drones for front-line reconnaissance. According to the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, the number of drones on the front line is impressive, especially in the southern direction and along the Dnipro.
As for the types of drones used, this includes Supercam, ZALA, Eagles and other models. According to Ignat, the situation is similar in the Kharkiv region, where enemy forces intensified aerial reconnaissance along the entire front line in order to increase information for planning future actions.
At a time when the situation on the approaches to Selydovo and Pokrovsky districts is becoming more tense, the situation near Avdiivka in Donetsk region is also deteriorating. Active offensive actions of the occupiers continue around the clock, and the main pressure is directed at the line of settlements "Berdychi - Orlivka" and Krasnohorivka district.
Security forces from the Third Assault Brigade note that the enemy is trying to gain a foothold in the captured territories with a significant number of infantry. Ukrainian troops, in particular the Third Assault Brigade, actively not only defend themselves, but also carry out counterattacks.
As for the situation in the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops did not stop after the capture of Avdiivka and continue to attack villages in the vicinity. For example, according to the latest data, the Armed Forces withdrew from the village of Lastochkine. This indicates that the Russian army continues to actively operate in this direction, using aviation and artillery.
