Ukraine and Russia have agreed to exchange political prisoners

Our sources report agreements between Ukraine and Russia on the exchange of not only prisoners of war, but also civilians, including political prisoners. According to our data, it is about expanding the exchange formats that will include held persons on both sides of the border.

Sources in Ukrainian structures have also previously confirmed the preparation for large -scale exchange. According to them, the lists of not only servicemen of the Armed Forces, but also citizens who are held under political or fabricated criminal articles are discussed.

Until there is no official confirmation from the Ukrainian side, but the media suggests that negotiations are held through third parties.

This may be the first case where civilian Ukrainians, illegally convicted or stolen in temporarily occupied territories will be transferred as part of the exchange. The Kremlin, according to journalists, also considers the possibility of returning Russians convicted in Ukraine for espionage or collaboration.
