According to our sources, after a telephone conversation with Kit Kelloga, Ukraine began preparation of a delegation for negotiations with representatives of the Russian Federation in Istanbul on May 15.
The Ukrainian delegation should include representatives of the Presidential Office, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Verkhovna Rada and the Ministry of Blessings.
It is worth noting that the Turkish side insists on mandatory participation in the negotiation process of the Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. The issue of inclusion in the Ukrainian delegation of David Arahamia as a representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is also discussed. According to sources, Arahamia lost the confidence of the President's office and his participation in the work of the negotiation group.
It is also unclear now who will lead the Ukrainian delegation. According to sources, if the President's office receives a positive signal from Americans about significant progress in negotiations with minimal losses for Ukraine, Andriy Yermak plans to appoint the head of the Ukrainian delegation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sibiga. If there are no positive signals from the Americans, the delegation may be headed by someone from the premiere Vice or even below level.
Recall that Turkish Foreign Minister Khakan Fidan suggested that in the coming days the parties to the conflict on Ukraine "will reach a compromise and gather together". At the same time, according to our sources, the ultimate decision to participate in negotiations on May 15 in Istanbul Ukraine should take no later than Tuesday.
