Ukraine reduces explosive imports: the government goes to local production

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko has announced the plans of large-scale development of national production of explosives in Ukraine. This direction becomes one of the key priorities of the new government, as she stated in the final address in the first week of work.

" Our goal is to make everything from equipment to chemistry in Ukraine. Systematically and in the right volume ," the Cabinet head emphasized.

The project is implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation through the Brave1 Security Innovation Platform. A new grant competition has already been opened, the purpose of which is to stimulate the production of modern Ukrainian developments in the field of defense technologies.

Before a full-scale war, most explosives and weapons were imported from abroad. This dependence creates vulnerability in logistics and supply against the background of hostilities. The government is now tasked to localize production to ensure stable defense forces and reduce dependence on foreign partners.

Sviridenko stressed that it is part of a new government strategy based on four basic priorities: human dignity, safety, economic development and post -war reconstruction.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the deployment of its own production of explosives will not only improve the situation at the front, but also become a locomotive for the economy. It is about creating new jobs, attracting engineering personnel, increasing the volume of internal GDP, as well as the development of the high -tech sector of the defense industry.

In a short time, the government plans not only to launch the first production lines, but also to create infrastructure of sustainable provision of the army with explosives of Ukrainian production. This is another step in strengthening the strategic autonomy of Ukraine in the war.
