Ukrainian boxer Taras Shelestyuk returned to the ring and knocked out the American in the second round

After a three -year -old pause, Ukrainian boxer Taras Shelestyuk triumphantly returned to professional sports, winning a vibrant victory with a technical knockout over the American Rhodricus Livsy. The match took place on July 4 in Schrivport (Louisiana, USA).

The 39-year-old Shelestyuk, which acts in the middle weight (up to 69 kg), spent his first battle since March 2022. His rival was to be Argentian Christian Havier Ayal, but due to the injury of the Argentine, the composition of the couple was changed. The replacement was released by American Rodrdricus Livy - a less rating but dangerous boxer with 12 wins (9 - knockout) in the track record.

The match ended in the second round. Shelestyuk, who went out to the ring in a great physical form, immediately took the initiative in his own hands. At the decisive moment, he drove the opponent in a corner and sent Livya to Kanwas with an accurate side blow from his left hand. The judge stopped the battle, fixing the early victory of the Ukrainian.

This result allowed Taras Shelestyuk to maintain his status of the invincible: now in his asset 20 victories (14 by knockout), 1 draw and no defeat.

Shelestyuk's last official battle took place in March 2022 - then he spent a busy match with Venezuelan Gabriel Maestro, who ended with a draw. The continued break in a career was caused by both personal circumstances and a turbulent situation in the boxing world against the background of war in Ukraine.

Taras Shelestyuk is one of Ukraine's most successful boxers. In 2012, he won bronze at the Olympic Games in London, and in 2011 he became a world champion among amateurs.

The triumph in the shrub can mean that the Ukrainian has serious intentions to continue his professional career and re -compete for the titles. Fans are looking forward to news about his next opponent and potential rating fights.
