Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umyerov reacted to another mass attack by Russia, calling on international partners to lift restrictions on strikes on enemy military targets. He also reported that Ukraine is actively preparing its own responses to aggression, including the creation of new weapons.
On the night of August 26, Russia struck Ukrainian cities, as a result of which civilians were killed, residential buildings and critical infrastructure were destroyed. In response to these actions, Umyerov emphasized the need to provide Ukraine with long-range capabilities and called for the lifting of international restrictions on strikes against Russian military targets.
"Russia struck our cities again this night. Civilians suffered, houses were destroyed, and critical infrastructure was damaged. This once again proves that for victory we need long-range capabilities and the lifting of restrictions on strikes on the enemy's military facilities," Umyerov wrote on his Facebook page.
The minister also noted that Ukraine is preparing its own responses to aggression, including the development and use of domestically produced weapons. "Ukraine is preparing answers. Weapons of own production. Deep condolences to the families of the victims. Together we will stand and win," he added.
