Professional services are actively working to restore electricity supply in Kharkiv after serious damage caused by enemy strikes on the city's energy infrastructure. Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed about this, noting that due to interruptions in the electricity supply, the movement of subway trains was temporarily stopped. However, some tram and trolleybus routes have been restored, and municipal buses continue to transport passengers around the city.
"Today there was serious damage to the energy system that supplies Kharkiv. Our utility companies are working together with energy companies to restore energy supply. In fact, this does not mean that there is no light in the whole city, but there are certain difficulties. To ensure a stable energy supply of the city, there is a critical lack of voltage in the networks," explained Terekhov.
He also emphasized that residential buildings were damaged as a result of enemy attacks, and communal services are working to correct the consequences of shelling, including inspecting roofs for damage.
The mayor also expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Kharkiv from other cities of Ukraine. "For example, today we received help from Transcarpathia, and I express my sincere gratitude for this support. In these difficult times, all cities and regions have united to help us," Ihor Terekhov emphasized.
