The government of Ukraine decided to ban officials and military personnel from using the Telegram messenger on official devices. This decision was made by the National Coordination Center for Cyber Security and confirmed by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
"A decision was made to ban the installation and use of Telegram on the official devices of employees of state authorities, military personnel, employees of the security and defense sector, as well as companies operating critical infrastructure," the message reads.
But there is an exception - "persons for whom the use of this messenger is part of official duties."
It should be noted that all the heads of OVA, state institutions, Yermak and President Zelensky currently have telegram channels. I guess now they will have to delete their publics. But it is not known whether it will be done.
It should be noted that, as follows from the decision, you can continue to use Telegram on personal devices. Considering the fact that the absolute majority of officials and military personnel use their personal smartphones for work, they are not obliged to delete the messenger on it.
