According to the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, during the fifth week of the epidemiological season, 110,944 people fell ill with influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI), of which 64,997 were children. The incidence rate is 307.9 per 100,000 population, which is 36.3% below the epidemic threshold.
"In the fifth week of the epidemic season for influenza and SARS (from October 28 to November 3), 110,944 cases of SARS were registered, which is 36.3% below the epidemic threshold," the message reads.
As indicated, 64,997 children were among the sick during the week.
Compared to the previous week, the number of SARS cases among adults and children under the age of 17 decreased by 3.2% and 15.3%, respectively.
The intensive rate of SARS, including COVID-19, is 307.9 per 100,000 population, which is 10.7% less than last week.
From October 28 to November 3, two deaths were reported among those who tested positive for COVID-19.
On September 30, the epidemic season of influenza and SARS began in Ukraine. A total of 587,751 people (1.6% of the country's population) fell ill from September 30 to November 3, which is 15.3% less than in the same period of the 2023-2024 season.
