People's deputy Volodymyr Vyatrovych, a representative of the "Eurosolidarity" party, expressed sharp criticism of Poland, calling its actions "hyena politics". In his statement, he emphasized that historically Poland has repeatedly tried to exchange its aid to Ukraine for territorial concessions, which raises concerns about Warsaw's true intentions.
"In 1920, Petlyura received help from Pilsudskyi for the relinquishment of part of the Ukrainian territories in favor of Poland. Therefore, it is wrong when this forced union is presented as a manifestation of the brotherhood of our peoples. The following year, Pilsudski abandoned Petliura, making peace with the Bolsheviks. And the Ukrainians got from him: sorry guys," Vyatrovych writes.
He also cites the statement of the ex-minister of foreign affairs of Poland, Czaputowych, that Warsaw's current policy towards warring Ukraine can be described as a "hyena metaphor".
"The hyena metaphor describes a policy aimed at achieving benefits when the partner is in a difficult situation, for example, under pressure from Russian troops," Chaputovych said.
Apparently, this is how Vyatrovych comments on media publications that Poland intends to use its future presidency of the European Union to put pressure on Ukraine to exhume the victims of the Volyn massacre.
The proposal of the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry to hold a referendum on the status of Crimea also caused a stir.
