Amid the war, many families are looking for information on the procedure for receiving financial support for a serviceman who has gone missing or been captured. The procedure involves clear rules, documents to be completed, and identification of the persons to whom the funds will be paid.
The Kharkiv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCS) explained who is entitled to payments.
Who can apply for payment?

A person in whose favor a serviceman has made a personal order.

First-line persons (in the absence of an order): spouse, minor children, children with disabilities since childhood, parents.

Second-degree relatives: adult children, siblings.
How to make a personal order

Write a statement in any written form.

Have the signature certified by the unit commander or a notary.

Transfer to the military unit's personnel file for safekeeping.
Who cannot apply?

Persons convicted of treason, collaboration, or aiding an aggressor state.

Citizens of the Russian Federation, Belarus and those who permanently reside in the territory of these countries.
Documents and submission procedure
The following are submitted to the CCC:

application with bank details and IBAN account;

copies of passport and identification code;
-
copies of documents confirming family ties;
-
documents on guardianship, adoption or disability (if necessary).
The CCC generates an electronic file and sends it to the military unit, which considers the application within 15 days. In case of a positive decision, the funds are paid monthly to the specified account.
Amount of payments

By personal order - in the amount of the specified share.

First-line individuals — 50% of the total amount in equal shares; the remaining 50% is deposited with the serviceman.

Second-tier individuals — 20% of the total amount; the remaining 80% is deposited.
Payments are not made in the event of voluntary surrender, unauthorized abandonment of the unit, or desertion.
Payment period

Start: day of capture or disappearance.

End: day of release from captivity or date of death certificate.
In case of release from captivity, the deposited funds are returned to the serviceman, in case of death, they are included in the inheritance.
The CCC emphasizes that contacting lawyers or proxies does not affect the timing of consideration and the amount of payments.
