The head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, expressed the need to strengthen military support for Ukraine and called on partners to provide Kyiv with long-range missiles. In his message on the social network, he talked about a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, where he expressed concern about the increasing Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.
Borrell emphasized the agreement on the need for increased military support for Ukraine, in particular, in the form of long-range missiles and anti-aircraft systems. Diplomats also discussed measures to eliminate workarounds around anti-Russian sanctions, noting the risk of significant European exports being re-exported to Russia.
It is worth noting that on January 2, Russian terrorist forces resumed active attacks on Ukraine, using kamikaze drones and missiles. The attack was aimed at Kyiv, and the air defense forces managed to destroy about 60 missiles, including the hypersonic "Dagger" fired from MiG-31K fighters.
