The day before, Ukraine attacked the airfield "Belbek" in the temporarily annexed Crimea, where the Russian army could keep fighter planes - Su, as well as MiGs.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, on the Espresso channel.
"Enemy Su-27, MiG-29, Su-30. Approximately such planes (based on - Ed.). There was also information about the MiG-31, but classified as BM, not K. It has a different purpose, it carries such missiles as the R-37, which in particular threaten our planes and helicopters in the southern direction," Ignat said.
The representative of the PS emphasizes that this resort is actively used by Russians, because it is "one of the main ones on the territory of the peninsula." In general, the occupiers have used five airfields in Crimea since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Ignat also emphasized that while it is too early to talk about the results of the strike, it is worth waiting for confirmation about the losses of the enemy's equipment.
"The destruction of infrastructure is also a plus. This is what will reduce Russia's ability in the waters of both seas to launch strikes against our state," he said.
