Zelensky plans to replace Ukraine's ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, is considering the possibility of replacing the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Oksana Markarova, who has held this position since February 2021. This was reported by The Washington Post , citing anonymous sources in diplomatic circles.

It will be recalled that in September, Speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson (Republican) called on Zelenskyi to release Markarova after Zelenskyi's scandalous visit to an arms factory in Pennsylvania surrounded only by Democrats. This was negatively evaluated by the Republicans, perceiving this trip as the participation of the President of Ukraine in the election campaign of Kamala Harris.

Republican Donald Trump won the presidential election.

Officially, Kyiv did not comment on plans to change the ambassador to the United States.
