The German publication BILD published alarming information about the situation at the front in Ukraine. According to journalists, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may find themselves in a critical situation and fall into an operational "cauldron" near Toretsk in the Donetsk region. This happened against the background of the active offensive of the Russian occupation forces in this region.
This was reported by BILD analyst Julian Röpke.
It is noted that to the southwest of the city, Russian troops failed to break through the strengthening of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, which were built by February 2022. However, now the occupiers are advancing on Toretsk from the west - through Zalizne and Severnye, as well as from the south - through the village of New York.
As a result of these offensive actions of the Russians, a ridge was formed in the Ukrainian positions. Analysts depicted it highlighted in blue on the map of hostilities.
"The Russians are trying to create a kind of cauldron there. This means that the Ukrainians must retreat if they fail to recapture the residential areas of New York. Otherwise they are completely surrounded there, which they don't want. Therefore, most likely, they will leave there soon", - believes Julian Röpke.
