Judge of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsk Court Sergey Savitsky, who appears in the case of a large-scale scheme of illegal departure of men abroad during martial law, may avoid arrest if he has made a bail of 1.5 million hryvnias. This decision was made on April 3 by the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court.
Savitsky was taken into custody, but Judge Markian Galabal provided an alternative - release on bail. In case of its introduction, Savitsky will be forbidden to leave the Odessa region, oblige to change the place of residence, to hand over foreign passports, to refrain from communicating with the defendants of the case and to wear an electronic bracelet.
This is no longer the first attempt to choose a measure of restraint for the suspect. Earlier, WAKS has established a pledge of over UAH 2 million, but Savitsky did not make it. Because of this, the prosecutor's office went to court with a new request - this time about detention.
According to the investigation, Judge Savitsky, together with court staff and lawyers, created a scheme of evasion of mobilization. According to fake court decisions, men allegedly raised their children on their own, which allowed them to receive the right to leave Ukraine. All "decisions" were made without the participation of the parties - just according to the scheme.
The cost of one such counterfeit document was $ 3,500. In total, Savitsky and his accomplices made 1040 similar decisions. The Back Office was used to hide the activities in the law firm, and the advertising of services was even placed on Tiktok and Telegram.
The investigation is ongoing, but punishment for similar schemes is still a matter of political and public will - especially when it comes to representatives of the judicial system.
