The White Church exposed the director of one of the municipal institutions of the city council, which demanded $ 15,000 for assistance in withdrawing a person from military accounting. The Office of the Prosecutor General announced this on June 26.
The investigation found that the official promised to organize evasion of mobilization through personal influence on employees of the Military Medical Commission. For his "assistance" he demanded a monetary reward. The amount of undue benefit amounted to $ 15,000.
On June 25, immediately after the transfer of funds, the man was detained in the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The operation was carried out under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Currently, reports of suspicion under part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-abuse of influence, which provides for liability in the form of imprisonment for a term up to eight years with confiscation of property.
Law enforcement officers also check the possible involvement of other officials in the mobilization evasion scheme, in particular within the framework of the work of VLK in the Kiev region.
