The famous Ukrainian actress and volunteer Daria Leheida, who gained popularity thanks to the TV series "Serf", decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Although she originally planned to become a combat medic, due to knee problems, she chose a different path - training to become an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operator.
This was told in an interview by the husband of the actress, Dmytro Sova, known for his role in the TV series "Village of a Million". Dmytro is currently serving in the First Recruiting Center of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces and supports his wife's decision.
"Daria wants to help the ZSU in any way, even if it will be difficult for her physically because of her joints. She has always been devoted to her country and is ready to study in order to contribute to victory," Sova said.
Daria initially aspired to become a combat medic, but due to health problems, she decided to try herself as a UAV operator.
"I said, well, if you want, I'll find a unit that trains girls. I was once told that women in the military, especially snipers and UAV operators, often achieve a high level of skill. They have a powerful energy that helps them to be extremely effective," Dmytro shared.
The husband of the actress admitted that he had previously tried to dissuade his wife from military service, but now he supports her decision.
"She does a lot of good, volunteering and collecting for the needs of the army. If she wants to learn something new, let her learn. This is not only an important experience, but also an opportunity to meet interesting people", Dmytro noted.
Daria Leheida is a vivid example of how representatives of creative professions join the struggle for independence, using their skills and perseverance, in a difficult time for the country.
