Voluntary evacuation has been announced in two border villages of the Sumy region

As a result of the shelling of the occupiers, the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, announced the voluntary evacuation of residents in the settlements of Bilopillia and Vorozhba of the Sumy region. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of the population in the conflict zone.

"Our main task is to protect our population, this task was set before me by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi. We consider this evacuation as a precautionary measure, not forced, but voluntary," said Artyukh.

Residents are currently being notified of the need to evacuate in the specified settlements. Those interested can contact elders and heads of communities for help in this process. Residents will be accommodated in specially designated places on the territory of the region.

Since the beginning of the year, 40 people have been killed and 110 injured, including 13 children, in Sumy Oblast as a result of shelling by Russian troops.
