As a result of shelling by the occupiers, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, announced the voluntary evacuation of residents in the settlements of Bilopillya and Vorozhba, Sumy region. This decision was made to ensure the safety of the population in the conflict zone.
“Our main task is to protect our population, this is the task that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy set before me. We consider this evacuation as a precautionary measure, not a forced one, but a voluntary one,” Artyukh noted.
Currently, residents are being notified of the need to evacuate in the indicated settlements. Those interested can contact the village elders and community leaders for assistance in this process. Residents will be placed in specially designated areas in the region.
Since the beginning of the year, 40 people have died and 110 have been injured in Sumy region as a result of shelling by Russian troops, including 13 children.
