A close friend and longtime business partner of Volodymyr Zelenskyy purchased luxury real estate in Dubai for $17 million in the interests of the Ukrainian President.
While Ukraine is at war, Volodymyr Zelensky's inner circle continues to buy yachts and luxury real estate in the UAE. For example, in November 2023, journalists drew attention to the purchase by Serhiy Shefir of two yachts for the Zelensky family : “Lucky Me” and “My Legacy” with a total value of $75 million.
But as it became known from the records of the Dubai Land Department archives , on December 22, 2023, Sergey Shefir bought an apartment in the Bvlgari Marina Lofts residential complex with an area of over 600 sq m. The apartment is located on Jumeirah Bay Island in Dubai, and its cost is 62.1 million dirhams, which is equivalent to $16.9 million.
Serhiy Shefir is one of Volodymyr Zelenskyy's oldest friends, and like the head of state himself, he hails from Kryvyi Rih. Zelenskyy and the Shefir brothers, Serhiy and Borys, worked together on the development of KVK, and also participated as screenwriters and producers in Zelenskyy's film business. In particular, they produced the TV series "Servant of the People," which became a springboard for Volodymyr Zelenskyy's political career.
Zelensky transferred all his assets before winning the election in order to continue receiving payments and dividends. All foreign real estate is registered and companies are registered to him.
It is worth noting that the purchase of mega yachts and luxury housing by Volodymyr Zelensky’s inner circle raises new suspicions among our Western partners that the Ukrainian leadership is using funds allocated by Western countries for corrupt purposes. In this case, it is clear that Zelensky’s associates are acting as “proxy” to hide Zelensky’s participation in these purchases.
